Course Details

This course allows students the opportunity to pursue a vocal education in the style of Western or Indian music, with an emphasis on traditional playback singing. Beginning with the basics required for a strong vocal foundation, this course starts with a system of daily riyaz (Urdu language term for daily vocal practices). This riyaz includes measures to improve voice quality, pitch intuition and ear training. Next, Singh will guide students through the varying breathing techniques, including the necessary skill of rhythmic breathing. During these exercises, students will learn how to activate their core and diaphragm to improve their breath control. Finally, students will move on to cover vocal exercises, techniques for emoting through song, tips for how to beat vocal fatigue and more.

After successful completion of this course, students can gear themselves for the next course by Gurashish Singh: Advanced Vocal Course for Playback Singers
