In this all-level course, learn Bollywood dance online, live, on a 1-on-1 basis from Shiamak Davar's Institute for Performing Arts. Whether you're a complete novice or a trained dancer, a fun, energizing session of Bollywood can lift up your spirits and get you grooving. Learn at your own pace with a personalized training structure at a time that is convenient to you. This course will explore various techniques of Bollywood dance, rhythmic footwork, artistic hand gestures, and facial expressions. Importance will be given to expressing the meaning of the songs through body movement. By the end of the course, students will be confident and will be able to perform Bollywood dance on different occasions.
Conducted by Shiamak Davar's Institute for Performing Arts, this course will be held for a duration of 30 weeks, which will span a series of two classes per week. In the 60-minute duration of each class, students will pick up everything about Bollywood dance - techniques, different types of steps, styles, moves, and choreographies. The course instructor will teach students how to utilize gravity to the advantage of the dancer so each movement flows effortlessly without any interruptions in the message each piece of dance intends to convey. This course's structure and duration are fully customizable and open-ended, varying from student to student. We will schedule a Zoom call with you prior to your first session to discuss and create a training plan that meets your needs.

The benefit of this online course would be that you would learn Bollywood dance to enjoy and this course will help you feel fit and refreshed, but at the same time get acquainted with dance techniques and basic principles of body movement. The other benefits also involve body awareness, developing coordination between the different limbs, gaining confidence, improving body posture, and developing an integration of the body and mind. An edited audio track of the chosen song would be provided to the student at the end of the course.
