This 14-week course covers the basics of Indian vocal music for complete beginners. Snehendu Naskar, an experienced vocalist and playback singer, will introduce students to exercises aimed at vocal development. Through live online learning, students will build their skills and learn four chosen retro numbers to perform. This course is best for students who have an interest in music and singing but have not had any music training.

This short-term course provides students with a basic foundational knowledge of Indian vocal music techniques and exercises. Lessons begin with introductory voice exercises and standing note practices, followed by more difficult muchchana exercises aimed at vocal development. Once the basics are covered, students will learn four chosen retro numbers to perform—anything from patriotic to devotional songs.
This course is best for students who haven’t had any vocal training but possess an interest in music and singing. Students of Snehendu Naskar will have the opportunity to learn Indian vocal basics from an expert who has been singing for over a decade and will bring the skills he’s learned to each lesson. By the end of the 14 weeks, Mr. Naskar’s course will allow students to move from the basics to more intermediate training, should they choose.

About Snehendu Naskar: Snehendu Naskar is an experienced vocalist and performer who began singing at the age of 8. His first guru was his mother, Smt. Sulata Naskar. Then, he began his music career at age 11, going on to study under Sri Jayanta Sarkar. He's a talented playback singer, having performed vocals for television and movie soundtracks, and commercial jingles. He has also performed and been a finalist on popular reality television shows like Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, and DD Bangla Gaan Sudhu Gaan. Mr. Naskar teaches Indian vocal music and grooms students for playback singing.
