Course Summary
The course is for students with a desire to learn different aspects of singing Bengali Songs - ranging from Raagprodhaan (Raaga based Semi Classical) Songs to the modern day bengali song or 'Aadhunik Bangla Gaan' as we call it.
By the end of this course students will be able to sing bengali songs comfortably & some tips regarding composition of bengali songs shall also be provided. Basic voice training advice shall also be given.

A born Music Person, Shom is a well-trained vocalist – groomed under Maestros like Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, Ustaad Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab, Shri A. Hariharan, Shri Jagjit Singh, Shri Badal Dhar Choudhury & Pandit Mallar Ghosh (Tabla).
Shom is a Versatile Musician. He renders different Genres of Music with equal ease – from Semi-classical to Film Soundtracks. However, Ghazals occupy a special place for him – which has made him popular in different parts of the Country within a very short time span. He continues to perform regularly in India & abroad – as a Soloist, as well as with all the great Maestros already mentioned.
He is a frequent performer on all major Television channels and is invited by Organizers & Corporate Houses to perform in Kolkata, Mumbai, and abroad.
Shom is also a Vocal Trainer who trains & grooms students in Vocal Music. He has a number of students diligently learning from him both in India and abroad. He has also worked as a Music Coach for different singing reality shows aired on channels like Star Plus, Colors & so on.
