This introductory course for Ghazal will help the students to embark on the most aspiring musical experience ever. Learning to appreciate Urdu Poetry and recite it in a lyrical manner is a dream many aspiring singers nurture but only a few can accomplish.
In this course, the students will learn the art of singing and performing in front of an audience. They will learn to identify the different parts of a Ghaza and learn to sing with proper diction.

About the Teacher
Shom Chatterjee was blessed with a musical voice since birth. He has received training under some of the most celebrated music Maestros, namely - Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, Ustaad Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab, Shri A. Hariharan, Shri Jagjit Singh, Shri Badal Dhar Choudhury & Pandit Mallar Ghosh (Tabla).
Shom is a versatile musician. He renders different genres of music - from semi-classical to movie songs with equal aplomb. However, Ghazals occupy a special place for him. It has earned a lot of name and fame for him in India and worldwide. Shom is a regular performer on several esteemed stages in India and abroad as a soloist. He has also shared stages with his mentors and the most revered musical personalities already mentioned above.
He is a frequent performer on all major television channels and is invited by organizers and Corporate Houses to perform in Kolkata, Mumbai, and abroad.
Shom is also a Vocal Trainer who trains and grooms students in Vocal Music. He has a number of students diligently learning from him both in India and abroad. He has also worked as a Music Coach for different singing reality shows aired on channels such as Star Plus, Colors, and more.
