Private Guitar Instruction In Folk, Pop and Rock
This course is for all levels, beginners to intermediate to advanced guitarists. This is an online 1-on-1 guitar course in Folk, Pop and Rock that takes place in weekly 60-minute sessions over the duration of 4 weeks. This will be individual instruction on acoustic or nylon string guitar in order to learn to play songs, accompany yourself or others for singing and play solos.

Course Details
This 1-on-1 online live course is for all, beginners to intermediate to advanced guitarists. Anthony Bez will teach you proper picking technique and control, how to access the fretboard, exercises for the correct left-hand position, and the formation of chords. Depending on if you want to learn to read music Anthony may teach from a method book but he will most likely expose you to experience in reading tablature and resources online for learning songs. Anthony can then correct, arrange or adapt these songs so you will have a gratifying experience. You will learn chords, chord strumming patterns, scales, scale exercises, and how to practice and utilize them in context.
About Anthony Bez: Anthony Bez began to study the guitar by the time he was aged just five years old, performing regularly by age nine and debuting his classical guitar skills by his early teens. Since then, he has performed throughout Europe, as well as the USA. He studied professionally at Arizona State University, Berklee College of Music, and the Mannes College of Music.
He was a recent recipient of a grant from "Meet the Composer", has been the Music Director/Composer of the Actor’s Shakespeare Company for over 16 years and is the current serving Secretary of the New York City Classical Guitar Society. Anthony is a completely devoted teacher and was on the faculty of the American Institute of Guitar for over ten years. He has also written articles that have appeared in NYlon Review, Soundboard Magazine, the publication of the Guitar Foundation of America and Guitar Review. He has two CDs of his own compositions, "Holy Mountain" which has been featured on WNYC’s "New Sounds" as well as on Public Radio here in both the United States and in Canada, and his solo follow-up album "Return to Mountain" which was recorded at the Rinzai monastery and retreat center Dai Bosatsu International Zendo Kongo-ji.
Students enrolling for this course on ipassio can be sure that they receive individual attention from the teacher, as the class strength is limited to 1 student. It also gives teachers the opportunity, to gauge the student's progress in-depth and make changes whenever and wherever required, to ensure the student gets the maximum out of this course. Since this course is detailed, students get the advantage of learning intricate details about this art form. The limited strength of the class also ensures that there is a strong bond between the students and their teacher clearing out any inhibitions that the student might have. The sustained guidance available from the teacher ensures that the student does not deviate from set goals or targets. Learning from a revered, experienced exponent of this art form, through the long duration of this course, keeps the student inspired and motivated to achieve more.
You will have the benefit of studying with a highly experienced teacher and performer. Having a private instructor for feedback and guidance is invaluable.
The main prerequisite is the desire to learn. Anthony has long said if you really want to learn he will teach you. You can already have guitar skills. You will be required obviously to have a playable instrument and depending on your needs a published method book or a notebook.
