South Indian Percussion for All Levels, created by exponent Suresh Vaidyanathan, is designed to accommodate a wide range of students, from beginners to professionals. Taking place over the duration of 50 weeks, lessons take place online over video once each week. The years of training and experience brought by instructor Vaidyanathan benefit the aspiring percussionist by allowing them the opportunity to grow in skill, technique and creativity with the same dedicated teacher.
The content of this course will be determined by the level of expertise the student has already achieved. Course materials and lesson plans encompass many areas of study, including fingering techniques and the respective Solfa or Phonetic language (Morsing or Konnakol). With over three and a half decades of teaching experience, Vaidyanathan is prepared to meet each student's individual musical goals on their percussive instrument and is open to students bringing more than one instrument to lessons, so they may strengthen their skill level in each one. Student skill level will be reviewed periodically throughout the duration of the course to ensure educational milestones are being met at a satisfactory level.

With many of his own students now masters themselves, Vaidyanathan has the pleasure of watching his former students teaching this art form to students of their own, ensuring the continuation of this tradition.
