About the Course
Students of this course will flourish under the instruction of an expert in Hindustani classical music and will receive an excellent introductory education. After the course has ended, students will be able to expand on the concepts and topics they’ve learned, including the appreciation of music and vocal ability. Starting with the basics, students will be introduced to musical notation and vocal exercises. Once these have been covered, students will be introduced to raga music and the concepts of tala and laya, or rhythm and tempo. The main objective of this course is to profound knowledge of the fundamental concepts of Hindustani classical singing.
The highlights of this course include -
- introduction to Indian scale,
- taal,
- paltas (Vocal exercises) in different Ragas,
- swarmalika (Etude pieces),
- bhajans (Devotional songs)
Understanding these concepts practically and theoretically will prepare you to take up the next level course - Intermediate Classical Vocal Classes.

Sandip Ghosh is one of the most outstanding artists in present-day Hindustani Classical Music. He is gifted with a rich and melodious voice and demonstrates exquisite command of rhythm, originality, clarity of diction, and versatility, thereby mesmerizing audiences across the globe.
