  • About the Course

    Students of this course will flourish under the instruction of an expert in Hindustani classical music and will receive an excellent introductory education. After the course has ended, students will be able to expand on the concepts and topics they’ve learned, including the appreciation of music and vocal ability. Starting with the basics, students will be introduced to musical notation and vocal exercises. Once these have been covered, students will be introduced to raga music and the concepts of tala and laya, or speed and rhythm. The main objective of this course is to conduct a musical journey in which the enrolled student is transported to the ultimate proficient, professional level of Hindustani classical singing.

     

    The topics covered in Beginners level:

    1) Detailed knowledge of Swara and Taal;

    2) Finer points of Raag elaboration;

    3) Alankaars; and,

    4)Voice culture.

    The topics covered in intermediate and advanced levels:

    1) Compositions in various Taals;

    2) Advanced training in Raag elaboration;

    3) Compositions in Madhyalaya and Vilambit laya; and,

    4) Training in traditional styles and gayaki of Raag elaboration.

He is gifted with a rich and melodious voice and demonstrates exquisite command of rhythm, originality, clarity of diction, and versatility, thereby mesmerizing audiences across the globe.
