    • Voice training, pitch perfection, voice modulation, breathing exercises, and Pranayama are useful for vocal music. It also emphasizes ear training and development in listening skills. All these are extremely important for any vocal artist or student.
    • Learning to practice Paltas as a significant voice training exercise. It involves practicing the notes using different patterns and arrangements within the scale in both ascending and descending order.
    • The students will be initiated to using a Taanpura and developing the habit of singing with its sound. The Taanpura is the most advanced yet very simple acoustic Indian instrument. It is considered the mother instrument of Indian classical music. Practicing with a Taanpura aids a holistic development and tuning of the voice.

Thereafter, more structured vistar (elaboration of Raga within the composition) and Sargam Taan (Rhythmic fast-moving notes) would be taught. At the advanced level, the learning journey will continue with both short and long Alap (introduction to the Ragas), Vilambit Khayal Bandish ( very slow tempo compositions in Ektaal, Jhumra, Teentaal, etc). Madhya laya and Drut Khayal Bandishes (Compositions in medium and fast tempo).
    • This online vocal music learning course will help the students in their understanding of the philosophy, grammar, and other necessary elements involved in the Raga recital. Learning the process of creating on spot necessary Vistar( Elaboration of Raga with the composition) and necessary Sargam Taan ( Rhythmic fast-moving notes).
    • After understanding and learning to perfect Khayal renditions, this course will also help the students to learn Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan, and Sufi Songs.

Traditionally, Hindu Hindustani classical music practitioners are referred to as Pandit and Muslim practitioners as Ustad. Religious neutrality has been an essential aspect of Hindustani music since Sufi times; this is why Ustads could sing compositions in praise of Hindu deities and vice versa.
