About the Teacher
Smt. Komala Devi Iyer started learning Bharatanatyam when she was just 6 years old. She first learned the basics from Guru Smt. Rukmini Srinivasan. Now, she's getting training from Guru Smt. Dr. Suparna Venkatesh.
She finished both the junior and senior levels in Bharatanatyam and also earned the 5th highest score in her Master’s Degree in Performing Arts from Bangalore University.
Apart from Bharatanatyam, she also learned Kathak basics from Guru Mysore B Nagaraj. She also received training in Nattuvangam from different gurus like Guru D.V. Prasanna, Guru Sharath T Suryanarayan, and Guru Dr. Vasanth Kiran.
