This course offers one-on-one voice lessons with Ellie Seligmann, an experienced singer and teacher of classical singing. Students will learn how the human body can produce specific vocal sounds, and learn to apply that knowledge through the use of their own body. Learning in this way will help students to produce a more free and natural sounding singing style. Students will also learn to develop healthy singing habits which will maximize their volume and optimize the quality of their singing while protecting their vocals.

About Ellie Seligmann: An accomplished classical vocalist, Ellie Seligmann has been teaching singing in her private studio in Colorado for more than 18 years. She has performed opera and concert works throughout the United States as well as across Europe. She has been an invited clinician to many vocal workshops and master classes for the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Music Teachers National Association. Ellie holds a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance and a Master's degree in Music Education and is a certified vocologist by the National Center for Voice and Speech, and a Core Singing certified teacher.

Students in this course should be at least 13 years of age and should be able to match pitch. To match pitch, a student should be able to hear a note sung or played on an instrument and they will be able to sing the same pitch within their vocal range. It is important that any students studying this intermediate course should have some level of past experience with classical style singing. Students will also need to sing during each lesson and should arrange to have access to Skype and have a location where they feel completely comfortable producing loud sounds.
