About the Course
This course is an introduction to the basics of speaking French, best for total beginners seeking a working knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and conversation. Students will learn 900 different words and verbs, basic and intermediate grammar, and the most commonly requested dialogues. At the successful completion of the course, students will be able to introduce themselves and others, describe an object or picture, write a letter, talk about past, present, and future events, and understand the convention of the French language. These concepts will be taught through lecture, dialogue, daily worksheets, and audio support.
Deepa Natarajan tailors the course to each student by meeting them at their level and style of learning, and excels at breaking down complex topics into easily understood segments. Through her instruction, students will be able to speak the language at a basic level and advance to a more intermediate course, should they choose.
