In these classes, students will learn the fundamentals, techniques, and basic choreographies like Guru Vandana, Vande Matram, and much more.

About the Course
The classes will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of the ancient art form Kathak. The carefully designed course structure is as follows:
Theory
- Introduction to Kathak and its history
- Introduction to Taal and Teentaal
- Introduction to technical terms of Laya, Wilambit Laya, Madhya Laya, Drut Laya, Matra, Sam, Tali, Kaal, and Khand.
Practical
- Takara (slow, medium and fast speed)
- Hastak, along with footwork
- Dugun and Chaugun of Taal Teentaal through Tali and Khali in the form of figures or 16 Matras.
- Recitation of Teentaal Theka by showing Tali and Kaal and its Dugun and Chaugun.
- Recitation of following terms in Teentaal by showing Tali and Kaal.

About the Teacher:
With an impressive experience of more than ten years, Priti Singh is well known for performing compelling storytelling through Kathak. She has trained under legends Guru Ranjana Shrivastava and Pt. Birju Maharaj. Born and brought up in Varanasi (UP), Priti Singh is the co-founder of Enatyam.
Priti has done her bachelor’s and master's in Kathak with Gold Medal. She has been a visiting faculty at the Symbiosis University of Skill Development. She is currently working on a book on Kathak. Priti has dedicated herself to taking the traditional artform of Kathak to the global level.
