About the Course

In this course, you will learn to play the piano with both hands, with confidence, with real music skills in a structured and well planned lesson plan. The lessons will be customized to support your speed of learning so that you achieve your goal of playing piano confidently.

The basic structure of the course include -

  • Piano Basics and Music Theory - We will start with the treble clef and slowly introduce the bass clef. You will learn how to identify each note on the staff and instantly find that note on your piano keys. Reading notation will soon become a natural skill, and you’ll realize how music begins to make visual sense.
  • Songs and Playing Styles – At the same time, you will learn about rhythm. As you learn the values of notes and rests, you will learn how timing keeps the entire song beautifully structured. You will clap and speak rhythms, do tap exercises on the keyboard, and gradually apply all of this into your playing, hands-on.
  • Technique and Skill-Building - Going ahead, you will explore basic chords that form the foundation of most songs you’ve ever heard. You will learn how chords support the melody and how they can create different moods in music. You’ll learn to read and play beginner-level chords while simultaneously coordinating both hands.
  • Start Playing Songs with both Hands - Gradually, you will begin playing complete songs using both hands. We will start with simple pieces and gradually move to songs that add more musical layers. You will get to play familiar tunes so that practice feels exciting and rewarding.
  • Finger Exercises - While you master the techniques, you will also learn some essential finger exercises to improve strength, speed and flexibility.
  • Learn to Improvise - As you learn to  play with written notes, you will also learn how to use scales and chords creatively to add your own musical ideas to a tune. You will get the chance to jam along with backing tracks in different styles.
  • Listen like a Musician - You will learn about active and passive listening.Passive listening is where music just plays in the background, and active listening, where you can identify the melody, rhythm, chords, and overall structure of the song.
  • Prepare for Graded Exam - In this course you will get guidance to prepare for Grade exams from internationally recognized UK-based music boards, up to Grade 3.
