Ukulele feels like you can just pick up and start strumming. Its minimal design, small size, fewer strings - somehow makes it feel safe. Isn’t it?
Yes. It is one of the most joyful instruments you can learn and with the right teacher, you can go from complete beginner to playing your favourite songs with clean chord transitions and steady rhythm faster than you think.
But, you know why most learners hit a wall? They learn 3 chords from YouTube, get stuck on transitions, and never quite feel in control of what they're playing. Here, the problem isn’t with your potential, it's in the learning structure.
This course is different. Every session is live, 1-on-1 with Pooja Jain - a ukulele and guitar teacher with 10+ years of experience. She watches how you play, corrects in real time, and adapts every lesson to your pace, goals, and the songs you actually want to learn.
Your teacher will give you recordings of performance snippets and a structured revision schedule for the entire week till the next session.
That’s how you learn to play your favorite songs. Just you, your ukulele, and a teacher who adjusts to you every single session.

Master of Commerce from Mumbai University
Bachelor in Management from Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai
This is a structured, progressive curriculum. You follow a clear path from your very first chord to performing full songs with confidence, rhythm, and musical understanding. Pooja shapes the pace around you, but the destination is always clear.
Phase 1 - Foundation (weeks 1- 8)
Proper posture, hand position, and how to hold the ukulele, building good habits from day one so they don't have to be unlearned later
Your first 3-4 chords and how to transition between them smoothly, without stopping or losing rhythm
Basic strumming patterns and how to stay in time, you'll play your first full song before the month is out
Phase 2 - Building musical understanding (weeks 8-15)
Scales, chord families, and the music theory that explains why certain chords sound good together so you understand what you're playing, not just memorising shapes
Rhythm and time signatures - learning to feel the beat naturally, across different song styles
Ear training - developing the ability to recognise notes and chord patterns by sound, so you can begin to figure out songs on your own
Phase 3 - Performance and independence (weeks 16+)
Staff notation and sheet music reading, freeing you from relying solely on memory or tabs
Songs across genres including Hollywood, Bollywood, pop, folk, classical, so you become a versatile, confident player
Performance preparation - playing in front of others with composure.
About the Teacher
Pooja Jain has been teaching ukulele and guitar for over 10 years. Her students range from adults picking up an instrument for the first time to children preparing for Trinity College London graded exams.
What sets Pooja apart is how she teaches. She doesn't follow a fixed script. From your first session, she identifies how you learn - whether you're a visual learner, a listen-and-repeat learner, or you need to understand the theory first. She builds your lesson plan around that. Students consistently describe her as "structured but very flexible" and "the first teacher who made music theory feel useful, and not heavy with jargon."
Her approach goes beyond technique. Alongside chords and strumming, Pooja integrates ear training and practical music theory. So her students don't just play songs, they understand music. This is what helps them become independent musicians who can learn new songs on their own, not just replicate what they've been shown.
Whether your goal is to strum your first song, play at a family gathering, or pursue a formal qualification, Pooja adapts her teaching to get you there - at your pace, with your songs.

Play the songs you actually want to play - Pooja builds your lessons around your song choices, not a generic playlist. Your motivation stays high because you're always working towards something that matters to you.
Fix problems before they become habits - in a live 1-on-1 session, Pooja sees and hears exactly how you play. She catches mistakes such as bad technique, timing issues, sloppy transitions, etc., in real time, before they get reinforced over hundreds of hours of practice.
Understand music, not just memorise it - you'll learn why chords work together, how to read notation, and how to train your ear - giving you the tools to learn new songs independently long after this course ends.
Progress at your pace, with a clear destination - no rushing through topics to keep up with a group. No repeating content you've already mastered. Your curriculum evolves with you.
