Course Summary
Bollywood songs require the singer to have very strong vocal and emotive abilities. The singers need to get the vocal techniques right. More so, when you are aiming to become a professional singer.
If you want to become a professional Bollywood singer, this course is for you. It is expected that you have completed the beginners course that majorly cover voice training and learning major vocal techniques. These topics will be taught in this course as well. In addition, you will learn important skills to become a good performer.
A brief about the flow of the course is mentioned in detail below. But it is subject to change depending on your learning ability, objective, and as decided appropriate by the teacher after the free meeting.
The tentative duration of this course is 18 weeks. However, that is not fixed. You have the complete liberty to learn at your own pace. Accordingly, the duration can be shortened or extended.

About the Course
This course will include -
- Recapitulation of concepts taught in the earlier courses including -
- concepts of Swara/ notes and sur,
- vocal techniques,
- breathing techniques,
- understanding and application of rhythm and tempo,
- expressing emotions through the voice,
- reading lyrics and notations of a song, and
- how to improvise on songs
- A disciplined voice training regime should be a part of the daily routine for everyone who sings - be it a beginner or a seasoned performer. In this course, you will learn very advanced voice training techniques such as using different vowels that will help to open the voice.
- After this, the students will learn performance skills like using a microphone during live performances and studio recordings, and also performing with karaoke.
- Learn how to interact and engage with the audience.
- Learn 20 Bollywood songs - 10 songs of your choice and 10 songs of your teacher’s choice.
About the Teacher
Puja Chowdhury is a vocal virtuoso trained in classical music. She has learned Hindustani Classical Music under the guidance of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty in his music academy - Shrutinandan. She earned her degree - Master of Music from Rabindra Bharati University.
Puja has been a scholar of ITC Sangeet Research Academy for three years. Additionally, she has attended workshops under the guidance of Pandit Nihar Ranjan Banerjee, Vidushi Kaushiki Chakraborty, Girija Devi, Vidushi Ashwini Bhide, and Ustaad Rashid Khan.
Puja has participated in music reality shows such as - Rising Star and Voice of India. She has shared the stage with eminent singers such as Shankar Mahadevan and Neeti Mohan. Apart from these, she has won several music competitions and performed on several esteemed stages, television, and digital platforms.
