Course Summary
Learning to sing is one thing and grooming yourself as a professional performer is a separate thing altogether. The ability to engage the listeners and keep up the tenacity through the long hours on the stage required proper grooming, practice, and dedication.
The objective of this course is to take the learners to the stage. It includes everything that takes to prepare a student vocally, mentally, and physically capable to perform as a professional singer.
Carnatic vocal music has a very discrete listener base. They are all very well-informed connoisseurs of this art form. The students are sensitized and attuned to the norms accordingly.

About the Course
The highlights of the course include -
- Advanced-level varnams showcase the mastery of melody and rhythm by demonstrating intricate structure, phrases, and emotive depth. Right from tonal precision to flawless improvisation and creating musical content - the students get to explore and push their limits at this level.
- Krithis - At an advanced stage of the learning curve, Kirthis help to breathe life into the melodic composition. From traditional compositions to intricate improvisations, Kirthis showcase the beauty of ragas and the art of emotive expression.
- Creative music (Manodharma) - The students will learn the art of spontaneous improvisation, weaving intricate melodies and rhythmic variations. From ragam improvisations to neraval and swara kalpana, Manodharma adds a unique and personal touch to your musical journey.
New students who have completed the foundation courses, can consider taking up the Carnatic Vocals Intermediate course. It will help the students to brush up their vocal skills.
About the Teacher
Ila Sangeetha Diliip commenced vocal training under Smt. H N Rajalakshmi and continued under Smt. Pushpa Srinivasan and Smt. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar for 10 years. Ila Sangeetha is also a competent Carnatic violinist having trained under Shri. H.K Narasimha Murthy for a few years and currently performing Vocal and Violin duet concerts with her husband K J Diliip.
Ila Sangeetha has been performing vocal and violin concerts for top organizations in India. Her skill has come through in challenging concerts such as Pancha Gana Raga Tana Pallavi, Navaragakshara RTP, and the 128-unit per cycle tala Simhanandana tala RTP.
In June 2017, Ila Sangeetha represented India in Uganda, Tanzania, and South Africa and performed as an Indian Cultural Delegate and received tremendous appreciation from esteemed dignitaries. She has also performed and given lectures in many other countries such as Canada, France, Switzerland, Italy, and London.
