Long term courses deal with creating a strong foundation on a specific topic. The syllabus of a Long term course is predefined and ready before the commencement of the course. This gives students an understanding of the knowledge they will gain in the stipulated period of time, helping them in their planning and decision making. The persistent support from teachers enables the student to accomplish and achieve the desired result or outcome within the given time frame. The class strength for Long term courses is limited to 3, ensuring that each student gets attention. A set of 3 individuals enrolling for a short term course encourages learning from peers and social interaction. This long term course bodes good for students passionate about learning, setting them up for the long-term or advanced level of learning.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to play basic level tunes and notes, as well as have a foundational education about South Indian violin music.
As a beginners course, there are no required prerequisites before enrollment. Students should come prepared with their own violin, as well as paper and pen for note taking during the online sessions. Before enrollment, each student should ensure they have enough time not only to commit to the online violin courses but to independent violin practice between courses, as well. Independent practice will ensure each student gets the most from their time with instructor Jyostna Srikanth.
