Chords are three or more notes played at the same time. Playing chords on harmonium is slightly challenging as the left hand is used for pumping bellows to force air into harmonium and using the same hand for playing chords could be overwhelming. There are two types of chords: major chords and minor chords. Chords produce harmony. In order to play a song in harmonium, our teachers will guide you to break down a song into several small phrases and play the major and minor chords with each small segment of the song’s line.
