Learn to Play the Flute: Beginner Basics
Learning to play the flute can be rewarding and fun, but starting out is challenging. Over the course of ten, 30-minute classes, Robert Cart will teach the students to assemble their instrument and make the sound for the first time, and then progress through the first scales and melodies. No previous experience is necessary, just a strong desire to learn the instrument and the ability to read the music is a must!

Course Details
Students taking this course will receive 1-on-1 instruction from Robert Cart for 30 minutes each week for ten weeks. Robert Cart will coach the students on how to develop a pleasant sound, musical phrasing, interpretation, technique, hand position, posture and balance, and breathing through the flute. Each student will receive unique, individualized instruction based upon their specific goals and needs.
In these 10 live sessions, students will learn how to assemble and take care of their instrument, how to hold the flute properly, learn correct embouchure, learn how to take breath support, learn major scales and learn introductory-level music. Students can continue taking the course longer than 10-weeks based on their goals and requirements, as the materials for each class will build on the last class so that the student will continue to dig deeper into playing more complex music on the instrument.
