Each of these dance items incorporates elements of both nritta (pure dance) and abhinaya (expressional aspect). Students will learn the theory behind these items and develop the ability to count and perform them independently. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently showcase their skills through traditional 3 to 4-minute dance items, immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of Bharatanatyam's technicalities and aesthetics.
About the course: Muktai Bhagwat has trained under the guidance of Maniktai Ambike from Nrityangan Academy, Pune. She is learning Karana under the guidance of Vithya Arasu, a disciple of Dr Padma Subramanyam. She has participated in many dance competitions and events. She has also choreographed and performed at professional shows.
Muktai started the Nrityanand Dance Academy, in Pune in the year 2012. Since then many students successfully learned, appeared and cleared different Bharatanatyam examinations. Currently, students from India, the USA, the UK, Luxembourg, Germany, and Thailand are learning Bharatanatyam at different levels.
Muktai believes that there is no shortcut to success and not at all in the field of dance! A strong foundation leads to the ladder of success which can be climbed only through practice.
