Most advanced dancers reach a point where technique alone no longer feels enough.
If you’ve been feeling that your dance deserves deeper expression, stronger stage presence, and artistic maturity, this course is designed for that exact phase of your journey.
This is not about learning more steps. It’s about becoming a more complete Bharatanatyam artist.
Refinement of Adavus
So your movements look effortless, grounded, and stage-ready. This will help you to deliver even the complex sequences with ease.
Narrative and Expressive Pieces
Mastering Shabdam, Padam, and Javali helps you to sustain emotion and character throughout a piece, learning how to weave a story through movements and nuanced ‘bhava’ through expressions that feel authentic rather than forced.
Varnam – the Centrepiece of Performance
In-depth training in Varnam, integrating complex nritta patterns with layered abhinaya, helping dancers sustain energy, expression, and storytelling over longer compositions.
Thillana
Strengthen coordination, speed, and finishing so your performance concludes with energy, precision, and confidence, leaving a strong and lasting impression on the audience.
Pada Bhedas
Your movements look grounded and musically aligned only when your footwork is very well articulated. The sessions on Pada Bhedas help to enhance your balance, agility, and rhythmic clarity.
Hasta Viniyoga (Hand Gestures)
While the Pada Bhedas or footwork help you to maintain grace in movement, hand gestures or hasta viniyoga help you to form figures and show actions. The Asamayutha hastas use a single hand and Samayutha hastas use both hands.About the Teacher
