About the Teacher
Barnalee Sarkar started learning dance at the tender age of 3. She learned Odissi under Lt. Shri Bijoy Senapati and Lt. Smt. Pratima Gauri Bedi at Nrityagram. She also learned Kathak from Lt. Sri Nikhil Pal and Padmavibhiushan Smt. Kumudini Lakhia. Barnalee is also trained in folk, and contemporary dance. She has been practicing dance for over 45 years and has been teaching for 20 years.
Barnalee has performed extensively across India. At present, she is focusing on creative choreography. He believes in learning for self-growth. The various productions based on a repertoire of the dance styles that I teach, Vivriti, Horikhela, Rituranga, Mahishashur Mardini, Vibhasma, and Pareshti are some of them. Her aim is to spread the classical styles more into the youth of the country as a passion/profession.
