She is also known as a News Reader by the media as she was a new reader in Doordarshan and then in Sun TV. She is now performing in various Tamil, Malayalam movies, Television serials, and ad films. She completed her post-graduation in music and is an acclaimed, proficient veena player and one of the few to perform Konnakkol as well.
