The intermediate-level tabla course is for students with basic knowledge and skills for playing tabla. At the beginner level, you have learned about the instrument, its various parts, and how to tune it. You have learned the basic bols and started to make simple phrases out of the bols.
In these classes, you will delve deeper into taal (rhythm) and lay (tempo). The emphasis will be equally on conceptual understanding and practical demonstration.
The lesson plan of this course will be customized as per your learning ability and objectives. By the end of this course, you will gain the confidence to perform as a soloist and also as an accompanying percussionist.

Dr. Atul Raosaheb Kamble is a distinguished Head of Department and Assistant Professor of Tabla at the School of Kalayoga, Chinamaya Vishwavidypeeth, Pune. He serves as a mentor for aspiring scholars as a PhD guide. With a passion for tabla since the age of 11, Atul honed his skills under the tutelage of renowned maestros such as Shri G. D. Badde, Late Shri Pramod Raichurkar, and Pt. Mukesh Jadhav, and currently continues his training under the guidance of Tabla Maestro Pt. Aditya Kalyanpur. Holding a Master’s degree in music from the University of Pune, he was honored with a Gold Medal by Shri K. Shankar Narayanan (Ex-Governor of Maharashtra). Atul has made significant contributions to the field of Indian classical music, both as a performer and educator. He is a sought-after accompanist for esteemed artists and has been teaching Tabla privately as well as at Victorious Kidss Educares, an IB World School in Pune.
