The online tabla course with Indrani Mallick will help the students to pick up the basic skills for playing tabla. The course is designed for beginners. However, it can be customized to suit the students' learning objectives. The course is carried out through individual learning sessions on ed-tech platforms. The highlights of this course include teaching basic syllables of tabla and learning how to use the fingers in the right manner. The curriculum of this course also includes some traditional compositions such as Tukra and Kayda. Further, the students will learn to improve their recitation skills. They will also learn some basic exercises for the right and the left hand.
About the teacher
Indranil Mallik is a renowned tabla player. Having started intensive training at the age of 5 under the tutelage of his uncle Montu Mallick. Thereafter, he has practiced under the able guidance of Prof Dhabol Bandyopadhyay and Shri Uttam Chakraborty. At present, Mallick is learning under Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri.
The firm grip on tabla playing techniques has helped Indranil to scale up the popularity ladder in the national and international arena. He has collaborated with acclaimed international musician, Miles Davis for his Electric Band. Mallick has been awarded ‘A grade’ tabla player by Indian radio and television. distinguished and is a regular performer on Indian radio and television
