Master Voice Coach - Ellen Smith Voice Studio
In this six-lesson series (60 minutes each), you will explore the fundamentals of healthy, confident singing. Through engaging, personalized instruction, Master Voice Coach Ellen Smith will guide you step-by-step through essential vocal techniques that every singer should know.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
1. Vocal Anatomy - You’ll begin by understanding how your voice produces sound - what your vocal cords look like, and how different parts of your head and neck work together to create tone. This awareness will help you gain better control, precision, and confidence as you develop new singing skills.
2. Breathing Techniques - You’ll learn how to use your diaphragm effectively and apply diaphragmatic breathing for a fuller, more supported sound. Ellen will teach you when and where to breathe in a song, and how to use your breath to shape and sustain vocal phrases with ease.
3. Airflow and Vocal Resonance - You’ll discover how airflow affects tone quality and resonance - how the vocal cords vibrate to create sound, and how adjusting airflow can bring out richer, more expressive tones in your singing.
4. Mouth Shape and Diction - Through Ellen’s “True Vowel Training,” you’ll learn how subtle changes in mouth position can create clearer, warmer vowel sounds. Fun diction exercises will help you improve enunciation, articulation, and overall vocal clarity.
5. Vocal Health and Care - You’ll gain practical knowledge on caring for your voice, managing vocal fatigue, and singing safely - even during times of strain or mild illness. These habits will help you maintain a strong, healthy voice for years to come.
6. Customized Exercises and Routines - Each lesson includes personalized vocal exercises, stretching, and breathing routines designed specifically for you. These will strengthen your voice, increase flexibility, and support long-term vocal growth.
