A Practical Approach to Singing Songs | Western Music

Gary Lawyer’s two sessions of practical approach to singing songs will be customized to meet the interests or career goals of each student. As an established singer, Gary has developed a keen eye for spotting vocal malpractices in singers of all varieties and has thought of these two sessions for those seeking to better their performances. These sessions accommodate students who endeavour to perform professionally or simply fine-tune their vocal skills for use in casual social settings including Karaoke.

Upon enrollment, students will choose songs to perform for Gary as he mentors and coaches them on accent, poise, breath, approach, and other techniques to enhance performance. This practical approach to singing will provide students with applicable pointers to be applied to their practice that will immediately enhance their skills.

Before enrolling, the interested student will need to submit his or her sample audio file demonstrating his or her vocals/singing skills (Studio recording will not be required. A home recording or any recording will do as far as it demonstrates the vocal skills). The sample song should be of an evergreen or a popular song. The sample audio file can be sent to our email id [email protected]. At an intermediate level, the session plan is designed to enhance an existing singing skill and as such does not provide basic singing instruction. Successful completion of this course will leave students with the fine-tuning of their singing needs to become a better professional.
