This course will begin where the Basic Vocal Course for Playback Singers finishes, starting by classifying range and voice type by understanding the student’s range in octaves. Students will move on to learn to embellish their performances using techniques such as vibrato, vocal riffs and runs. Finally, Gurashish or Aditya will guide students to cover performance topics such as microphone techniques, vocal warm-up discipline, vocal health and diet.

ABOUT GURASHISH SINGH: Gurashish Singh is a singer, vocal producer and educator. Previously, he served as a professional in digital media and the Bollywood music industry. With many years of professional experience, Singh’s teaching style is pragmatic. It is his belief that the key to remaining motivated in musical studies is for students to learn to apply their theory and skills practically. Singh studied Hindustani and Western-style music for a total of eight years and has enjoyed the opportunity to work with many world-renowned artists, including Hansraj Hans, Neha Kakkar and Shirley Setia. Singh has a deep understanding of how voice culture, texture, dynamics, expression and microphone techniques all combine to create great art, and he is eager to pass on this skill set to the next generation of great artists.
ABOUT ADITYA SHARMA - Aditya Sharma is a singer, songwriter, vocal producer from India. He served as a professional in the Bollywood music industry from past 5 years and worked as a vocal producer on many projects with famous record label Eros. He recently worked as a vocal producer for "oh oh jaane jana" recreation, this rendition has garnered 15 million views on YouTube channel of Singh's unplugged. He has a recording experience with many Bollywood singers such as Meet Brothers. He has given his voice for an upcoming album of Meet Brothers and 2 upcoming Bollywood films. He took up further studying of voice through the extensive playback vocal course of True School of Music and has been mastering the art of voice and techniques for last 2 years by learning from the master faculty such as Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Anu Malik etc. Aditya thinks that vocal techniques and way of seeing the song combines to create great art as well as a great musician.

As an advanced vocal course, students will need to have completed Basic Vocal Course for Playback Singers, or a similar course, before enrolling. Students will need to bring a pen and paper for note-taking but all other materials will be provided by the instructor. Before enrollment, students will need to ensure they have the time to dedicate to practice in addition to the class time. Successful completion of this course will enable students to enter the musical market or polish their natural skills as a singer.
