This course introduces beginners to Indian music through songs that are suitable for children, Hindi learners, and those new to singing. The course helps students understand basic musical concepts such as melody, rhythm, and tempo, while building listening and singing skills in a supportive setting.
Each session includes Hindi songs and rhymes, selected based on the learner’s age, interests, and needs. The course also includes rhythm games, sing-along activities, videos, and the option to use simple instruments for accompaniment.
By the end of the course, students will be able to sing 7 Hindi songs with clarity and confidence. No prior music experience is required. The course ends with a performance showcase, where family and friends are invited to watch the student sing and share their progress.

About the Teacher
Kanika Mankotia is a dedicated Western vocals teacher with over 26 years of musical experience. A self-taught artist, she began composing songs in English and Hindi at age 10. To deepen her expertise, she pursued a three-year certification in Indian classical vocals at Sri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi.
Recognized for her proficiency in Western singing and English, she was invited by schools to teach Western vocal techniques to children. Her unique teaching approach integrates music, storytelling, meditation, and chanting, fostering holistic development and emotional well-being in students.
Passionate about empowering young minds, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, Kanika designs songwriting workshops and structured training programs that nurture creativity, self-expression, and cultural appreciation. She seamlessly blends technical training with ethical values, encouraging students to develop social responsibility, empathy, and kindness.
