Course Summary

This course offers you the opportunity to learn some of the timeless melodies of Rabindra Sangeet, the musical expression of Bengal’s greatest poet, Rabindranath Tagore. His songs are more than just music; they are a spiritual journey that speaks of love, nature, devotion, and the philosophy of life.

If Tagore paints a picture of longing with "Amar Nishitho Raater Badol Dhara," he also celebrates joy with "Pagla Hawar Badol Dine."

His songs capture every human emotion—whether it’s the pain of separation, the ecstasy of love, or the serenity of devotion. Through this course, you will explore:

  • Rabindra Sangeet’s lyrical depth and melody
  • Its intricate connection to different ragas
  • The philosophy and emotions behind each song
  • Correct pronunciation and enunciation in Bengali
  • Expression and bhava (emotion) in performance

Tagore’s music is not just for the singer—it’s an experience that enriches the soul. Join this course to embrace the poetic beauty and musical genius of Rabindra Sangeet, a heritage that continues to inspire generations.
